And They Call Us a Beauty School

While we are proud of our title as a Beauty School, or Cosmetology School, whichever you prefer,  we really are so much more than just another Beauty School in Florida.  Our schools continue to participate in the Matter of Trust program in which hair is turned into mats and booms used for absorbing oil.  Yes, that would include the massive oil spill that is polluting our beautiful Gulf of Mexico and will inevitably stain the Florida shoreline.  To date, Aveda Institute St. Petersburg has sent seven boxes of hair to the organization and three from Aveda Institute Orlando.  Aveda Institute Tallahassee has two boxes packed and ready for shipping and Aveda Institute South Florida has two 50-gallon trash bags collected to date…that’s a lot of hair!!
