A beauty school education with Aveda Institutes of Florida also allows for hands on experience during some major productions. This allows for top level education and great material for portfolios.
During this behind the scenes clip, students and educators from the Aveda Institute South Florida worked on the hair styles for the official Miami Dolphins cheerleaders during a major photo shoot.
We would like to say Thank You to everyone who supported our efforts for the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign during the month of Ocotber. Our schools raised $20,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation through varioius fashion shows, t-shirt sales, bake sales, “pink” hair strand sales, the Walk to the Light Auction and much more.
The wonderful team at the Aveda Institute Tallahassee works hard to make a difference in their community providing services and assistance to a number of groups in need. Ladies from the Chelsea House, a transition home for homeless women, recieved the royal treatment Christmas Eve, and many had the time of their lives. They received manicures, shoulder massages, hair and makeup applications from the Aveda Institute. Dressed in their best attire, they boarded a limousine and cruised neighborhoods in search of the best holiday light display in town. In addition to the Aveda Institute, various businesses, including Mikes Limousine, Walmart, Starbucks, The Cake Shop, Peterbrooke Chocolatier, Winn-Dixie and realtor, Sandra Purvis, donated food, transportation, and money in support of the event.
Aveda Institute Tallahassee is hosting a Pink Slip Party Saturday, October 20th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The “Get Hired” event will offer job seekers an opportunity to socialize with potential employers, gain interview tips and resume building skills. In addition to brushing up on job seeking skills, guests will be treated to mini-manicures, hair trims, makeovers, and more. Click here to learn more about this exciting evening.
